what to bring

So, now that I've sort of spilled the beans about the flashlights (to anyone there who didn't know already... anyone? Don't even know if anyone other than Denise is reading this...), I thought I'd post about what to bring for the weekend.

* bathing suit
* beach/pool towel
* sun protection - sunscreen, hat, etc
* bug protection - Judy at SS warned us that the bugs will probably be out in force this year due to the warm spring
* camera & video camera if you have it
* film/tape if you need it
* comfortable shoes - leave the spiky heels at home!
* flip-flops for pool/lake
* headlamp or lantern if you have 'em (we will be giving y'all flashlights - nice medium sized ones, not tiny and not too big)

Hmm, that's all I can think of at the moment. Let's see... Anything else you might need for camping if you're camping, of course, but you can leave the cookware behind.

sorry so quiet

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. Lots to do, lots to decide, but I'm trying not to obsess over the details, and just let the tasks and decisions happen as they come.

So, to update, in the last month, I've:
* bought two cases of dessert wine
* made a map of the grounds with cabin/room assignments
* stressed (but not too much) over cabin assignments
* designed & sent out rsvp confirmation cards to everyone staying at Saratoga Springs
* ordered flashlights (arriving very soon... yay!)
* changed my / our mind(s) a couple of times about tablecloths
* made some progress on the design of the ceremony with james & jen
* pretty much decided to buy glassware from IKEA but haven't done it yet
* designed placecards
* final fittings for dress
* bought hair accoutrements
* decided I need new earrings (simple studs)
* james has got his suit, still needs shoes & tie
* received sample pix from florist & gave her feedback

Things that are currently pressing on my brain:
* need to contact yoga lady to see if she is still interested in coming & teaching yoga
* need to meet with gary and finalize menus and other details of servers, bartenders, etc
* need to design table number signs
* need to find new earrings and tie for james
* need to decide on & buy wine

Other things going on with me: I'm a little annoyed at the late RSVPers. I'm trying to be patient, though. It's hard, I know, to figure out all the travel stuff. Overall, though, I'm getting very excited for the big day/weekend - only one month away! ONE MONTH!!! Aaaaah!!! :-)
