omigod, omigod!

one week til James and I head up to Saratoga Springs! I'm really looking forward to that first day/night away - some time to breathe before the hurricane descends! But we have a lot to do on Wednesday, when Denise and mom will be here to help prepare. Costco, Ikea, nails... It'll be ok. It'll be ok. Have to keep telling myself that.

Again, the list of things to buy still is:
* red wine (2 cases at least - have one case)
* soda and other "soft" drinks for weekend
* bottled beer for Thurs/Fri
* kegs of beer (hopefully Ryan Smith will be helping us out with this)
* aisle runner
* tie for James
* shoes for James???
* glassware from Ikea
* tealight & votive candles to fit all of the candleholders we have (need to count)
* frames/holders for table numbers

Craft projects completed in the past week:
* placecards
* table numbers
* reserved signs for ceremony chairs
* buffet signs - flavors of cake, etc - ok, I'm doing this right now, but almost done!

Phthalates

Yay, they took phthalates out of the polish I use most! Now I have to find a color I like. :)

Lighting

Also, Target last night, got 6 battery operated maroon paper lanterns, need 2 AA's each, $2.50 a three pack on clearance. About 10". Cute. Also got a 4-pack of twist on LED lights for misc paper lanterns. I am still looking for the set posted below. I'll check again next week.

Polaroids and Photo Boothing

I know I should be OK with Polaroids but I am not. I wanted this to do more. I think this printer would get us close. It has lots of coool features. It's $150 at HP and about that on Ebay (this auction has extras). I love the instant TV slideshow feature (and you can print directly from that, how cool is that?). Whatcha think?

Lantern lights

Found these at Target (cool!). I'm going tonight for the bday party so I will see if they are in stock to try out. They would be good to put inside a paper lantern and then to reuse later. In fact, I may do that for my party and then let you use them. They're like 11 bucks and include batteries. I also fixed the link below.

Being Organized

I started (and stopped) using this site a while ago, but it's worth checking out, I put my own stuff in a free shareable to do list. Took A's dress for alterations this morning (ready 1 week, we are keeping the length which is about 3/4" off the floor and taking in the sides, $28). Got some metallic gold wedges at Payless last night, we'll see if I keep them. Making progress!!
