D, check it out - Shoji Decor and also lantern spacing kits, you can choose how many sockets and how far apart. Sounds good... a little pricey, though, maybe?

I DEFINITELY love the idea of lanterns. BTW, I bought some cute dangly green lanterns (3) at Walgreens on clearance over the summer. I will bring them next visit. Anyhoo, yes, these are too expensive and we can find them cheaper. SOMEWHERE in Chinatown there is someone who can help. You need a hookup. Maybe just post a CL ad seeing who knows someone who knows someone? And 8 lights for $30? LED candles/lights are cheaper than that and you can hang them anywhere and get ones that flicker which is a nice effect. We'll get this figured out, don't fret.
