what do you think, would these shoes work? here's the drawing of my dress, for reference - James never checks the blog anyway, so I'm not worried he'll see it by accident!

A) I thought you had shoes?
B) These are classical, they go with the goddess-type dresses that were all over the Globes. Your dress is more 20's-inspired. You need something like this: http://www.bridalshoes.com/sabra.htm
or if you want a flat: http://www.bellissimabridalshoes.com/product/017759.shtml
or, sandals:

A) I look bad in pointy shoes, my feet are too big (9-1/2!)

B) I have to wear flats - and by that I mean 1/4 inch or less - b/c we decided to use the extra fabric for a wrap instead of adding an extra layer to my dress.

I wouldn't be able to wear heels for more than an hour or two anyway, so this way I don't have to worry about my dress dragging when I switch to flats. Ballet slippers are big this season, but I need something that is feminine and delicate. I think my dress is a bit "goddess-y" don't you?

Yes, it will make you look like a goddess, but it is not goddess-styled. How about soemthing like: http://www.shoebuy.com/sb/s.jsp/r_prof/d_AdultF_Dress/sz_9.5/he_0.625-1.5/p0_3480/mt_1/p_2/st_170522/sbstl_388338
and you could embellish with deco jewelry?
